University Sustainability Council

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­'s University Sustainability Council (USC) serves as the governing body that supports and guides sustainability leadership on campus. We evaluate, initiate, and advocate for sustainability efforts and engagement regarding research, activities, and education across our campus and the surrounding community. Through analysis, innovation, and partnership, USC drives solution-oriented actions to create a lasting impact for current and future generations.

The USC recognizes and acknowledges the efforts of all groups and individuals around campus that assist in keeping Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ sustainable. As the governing body of sustainability at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­, our main role is to annually report to STARS, which is an accredited program that sets a global standard for university sustainability. It is with the help of not only USC members, but all who contribute to and practice sustainability on campus that we are able to be recognized for our consistent efforts. Members Across Campus

The University Sustainability Council spans across faculty, staff, and students from the vast departments we have on campus. Being sustainable is possible anytime, in any field, which is why we strive to have diverse members collaborating towards our sustainable goals.
