Financial Aid and Refunds
You may receive a financial aid refund if your financial aid exceeds your tuition and fees. A credit balance is created on your student account when excess aid remains after charges are paid. Financial aid refunds are processed automatically.
- Main campus and education center students: Refunds are processed after the first two weeks of classes.
- Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Online returning students: Refunds are processed after the first three weeks of classes.
For financial aid credit balances created after this, refunds are processed weekly.
Yes. Students with excess financial aid on their student account (excluding work-study) may transfer the funds to their Panther card to purchase books and supplies at the Campus Bookstore. Go to the cashier’s window in L3Harris Commons to request the transfer.
Yes. Federal Title IV financial aid can be used for non-tuition expenses if you authorize Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» to apply funds that way.
Title IV financial aid includes grants such as Pell, ACG, Smart, etc., or loans such as Stafford, PLUS or Perkins.
You can submit your authorization in PAWS. Under Financial Aid, select Financial Aid Authorization.
If you do not provide authorization, the university is required to refund the entire amount of the aid left over after covering only the tuition cost. In that case, if you have non-tuition expenses on your account you could still have a balance due.
Account Access and Holds
Contact the IT Help Desk at 321-674-7284 or visit the webpage to reset your password or for other assistance with TRACKS.
Holds may be placed on a student account for academic or financial reasons. Financial holds usually mean money is owed to the university.
Some student account holds may prevent registration, transcript requests or other university services until the issue is resolved.
Sometimes student account holds are just informational and don’t mean there is anything wrong. For example, if you signed up for the Panther Payment Plan, there will be a hold that notes this.
You can see student account holds in PAWS under Student Profile.
The reason for the hold and the phone extension to call for more information will be listed.
The phone extension is the last four digits of the full phone number. Most Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» phone numbers begin with 321-674. For example, if extension 8199 is listed you would dial 321-674-8199.
Billing Questions and Charges
You can view your student account balance in PAWS under Student Accounting. Your balance includes tuition, fees, payments, financial aid and any outstanding charges.
All full-time undergraduate and graduate students are required to have health insurance. Students who already have qualifying coverage may request a health insurance waiver.
More information and a link to request a health insurance waiver are available on the Student Health Insurance Program page.
