Users of the Clemente Center should adhere to all facility policies.
Disregard for the policies or disorderly conduct will result in removal from the facility.

- Any current Clemente Center member may check out equipment using their Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» ID.
- The following equipment is available for rent:
- Basketballs
- Volleyballs
- To rent equipment, patrons must present a valid Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» ID to Clemente staff at the front desk. Participants will be charged a fee for damaged equipment.
- Equipment must be returned directly after use. All items rented must be returned prior to closing.

- Users are required to wipe down equipment after use. Cleaning stations are provided.
- Members must be of age 14 years or above. Any "dependent" member that is between the ages of 14-17 must be accompanied by the adult guardian that is on the application.
- Appropriate active wear and supportive athletic shoes are required. Denim shorts/pants, open-toed shoes, open-heeled shoes, and street shoes are not permitted.
- Only Clemente Center staff are permitted to move equipment.
- The use of dry weightlifting chalk is prohibited. Liquid chalk is allowed. See Clemente Center staff for assistance.
- Rerack all weights after each use.
- Personal training, weight room orientation, and private lessons of any kind are not permitted, except by Clemente Center staff.
- Use of collars is mandatory on all free bar lifts with plates.
- Report all injuries and maintenance concerns to Clemente Center staff.
- All equipment must be used in the manner for which it is designed. For example, you must be facing forward on all cardio equipment.
- The use of any device to photograph is prohibited.
- Food is prohibited. Only drinks in resealable containers are allowed. Any food or drink purchased in Center Court can be enjoyed in the Center Court dining area and cannot be carried over into the Fitness Area.
- Headphones or earbuds are required when listening to audio.
- Slamming, bouncing, or dropping of weights and medicine balls is not permitted. Spotters are recommended.
- Personal belongings such as backpacks may not be placed anywhere in the Fitness Area. Place these items in the storage compartments available or check out a locker at the front desk.
- Loitering in the Fitness Area is not permitted. Only individuals actively working out or preparing to workout should be present.

- Use of the Clemente Center and participation in activities is voluntary and at your own risk.
- All persons entering the Clemente Center must check in at the front desk. A strict ID policy is enforced when entering the facility. Everyone should be prepared to show a valid Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» ID. No one will be permitted into an activity area of the Clemente Center without proper identification. If a question arises as to the validity of the presented ID, a second form of identification may be required. IDs used to gain illegal entrance into the Clemente Center will be confiscated.
- Alcohol, smoking, the use of smokeless tobacco products or electronic devices, and unregulated nicotine products are prohibited in the Clemente Center.
- Only drinks in resealable containers are allowed in the activity areas of the Clemente Center. Food and open drink containers are only permitted during varsity athletic games and special events.
- Food and drink are allowed in the Center Court area.
- A shirt and shoes must be worn, unless otherwise posted. Appropriate clothing is required in activity areas.
- Non-marking athletic shoes are required in activity areas.
- No bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, or skateboards are permitted for use inside the Clemente Center. Skateboards must be stored on the rack directly behind the front desk. Bicycles must be stored outside.
- Members must be age 14 years or above. Any "dependent" member that is between the ages 14-17 must be accompanied by the adult guardian that is on the application.
- Only Clemente Center staff are permitted to move facility equipment.
- Modifications of equipment beyond its designed purpose are prohibited.

- The Clemente Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Group Fitness Room Policies
- Use of the Clemente Center and participation in activities is voluntary and at your own risk.
- Only approved activities are permitted.
- Other activities, or equipment deemed unsafe in the Group Fitness room, are prohibited unless special permission is obtained from the Clemente Center Director.
- Soft-soled, non-marking, athletic, supportive shoes are allowed.
- Street shoes, black-sole shoes, or any shoes that mark that floor are not permitted.
- Food is prohibited. Only drinks in resealable containers are allowed.
- Only Clemente Center staff are permitted to use the stereo.
- Avoid any contact with the mirrors.
Group Fitness Program Policies
- Participants should arrive on time for class. Late arrivals may not be allowed entry.
- Members must be of age 14 years or above. Any "dependent" member that is between the ages of 14-17 must be accompanied by the adult guardian that is on the application.
- Patrons must have a cloth towel the size of a hand towel or bigger to wipe down equipment and participate in fitness classes. Towel must be kept with patron at all times.
- Clean equipment after each use with the disinfectant and paper towels provided.
- Appropriate active wear is required.
- Only soft-soled, non-marking athletic, supportive shoes are permitted.
- Silence all cell phones and place them in the storage area provided.
- The use of any device to photograph or record is prohibited.
- For the comfort of others, please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes.

Gymnasium Policies
- Since all games are self-monitored, good sportsmanship and proper conduct are expected.
- Black-sole shoes and other marking shoes are not permitted on the playing floor. Clemente Center will make a discretionary decision in some special cases.
- For your safety, shoes must be worn at all times.
- Grabbing or hanging on the net or rim is prohibited. Violators will be escorted from the building.
- Baseball, football, soccer, and other activities or equipment deemed unsafe in the gymnasium environment are prohibited unless special permission is obtained from the Clemente Center Director.
- In the event of crowded courts and waiting players, the facility supervisor has the authority to modify games.
- Chewing gum, food, and drinks are not permitted in the gyms.
- Scheduled activities in the gymnasium will take priority over open recreation. Changes will be posted on the daily facility schedule.
- Shirts are required. If team designation is needed, pinnies may be available for check-out with notice.
Court Usage Guidelines
- Scheduled activities have priority (please check the daily facility schedule)
- When the gymnasium is crowded, courts may be broken down into half-court games in order to accommodate more people. This decision will be made by Clemente Center staff and will be based on participant need.
- Open Recreation:
- For a volleyball game to take place, there must be at least 6 people present for the net to be set up.
- For a badminton game to take place, there must be at least 2 people present for the net to be set up.
- There must be no event on the daily schedule or any other groups using the space for this to take place.

- Overnight storage is not permitted in the locker rooms. Personal locks will be cut off and personal belongings removed. Items will be turned over to Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» Security.
- For everyone's safety, glass containers are not permitted in the locker rooms.
- WARNING: Wet surfaces in the locker room may be slippery. Please watch your step.
- Report suspicious individuals or activity to any Clemente staff member.
- Food is prohibited. Only drinks in resealable containers are allowed.
- The Clemente Center is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property.

- Olympic-sized bars may only be used at the corresponding bench, squat rack or deadlift platform.
- The Mezzanine mat is to be used for stretching and bodyweight exercises. Weights, plyo boxes, jump ropes, and ab rollers are not allowed on the mat. Gymnastics and combative sports sparring are prohibited with the exception of pre-approved clubs and Clemente Center fitness classes.
- The Mezzanine walkway must be kept clear of equipment at all times, including bikes, weights, rowing machines, et. This is an emergency evacuation lane.
- If a patron is waiting, cardiovascular machine use is limited to 30 minutes.
- Personal belongings such as backpacks may not be placed anywhere in the Weight Room. Place these items in the storage compartments available or check out a locker at the front desk.
