Max Rose

From the frontlines of providing healthcare to the underserved and a combat tour in Afghanistan to the halls of Congress and the Pentagon, Max Rose has spent his life fighting to build a better New York City and America, no matter the cost.
Over the course of two years, Max was rated as one of the most bipartisan members of Congress in the country. He kept his promise to reject all Corporate PAC and federal lobbyist donations, and secured an impressive list of wins including, but not limited to: permanently funding healthcare for our 9/11 heroes, securing millions of dollars for the opioid epidemic, cutting red tape to kickstart the East Shore Seawall, enacting split-tolling and other key measures to reduce traffic at no extra cost to his constituents, protecting toll discounts, and pioneering an effort to reunite families torn apart by President Trump’s Muslim ban.
When the Pandemic struck, Max ensured that Staten Island and Southern Brooklyn took a back seat to no one. In March 2020, while serving as a member of Congress, Rose successfully advocated for one of New York City’s first drive-through testing sites to be placed in his congressional district. He also deployed with the U.S. Army National Guard to assist New York City's coronavirus pandemic response. He is credited with turning a Staten Island psychiatric center into an emergency hospital for patients with COVID-19, successfully leading the advocacy effort to deploy the Comfort Naval Hospital to New York City, and he stood up to both parties in order to bring home billions of dollars in desperately needed COVID relief.
Following the 2020 elections, Max served in the Biden Administration as the Senior Advisor on COVID to the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, responsible for coordinating the Department of Defense’s internal COVID response as well as its support to the national and global effort. For his service in the Pentagon, Max received the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service, which is the second highest award presented by the Secretary of Defense to non-career Federal employees.
Max Rose graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor's degree in history and earned a Master of Social Science from the London School of Economics. His decorations include the Ranger tab, the Combat Infantryman Badge, a Bronze Star, and a Purple Heart.
Max is married to Leigh Byrne, and they are the loving parents of their son, Miles.

As a native Staten Island resident and business owner, I have grown up personally and professionally in our borough. I am fully invested in our community – I live here, work here and raise my family here. I appreciate the opportunities given to me to volunteer my time to various educational and athletic institutions, building strong relationships among a diverse cross-section of our neighborhoods.
For the past 27 years, I have been privileged to represent the people of Staten Island. Beginning as an Assistant District Attorney and then building a private law practice, Staten Islanders have trusted my judgment and abilities to resolve their most serious legal issues. Inspired by Staten Island’s distinguished judiciary, I would be honored to serve our community as a Civil Court Judge.
My years of representing public needs and individual clients who are faced with significant struggles such as injury, arrest, family disputes, business disagreements and substance addiction gives me the understanding and insight to communicate effectively with people in crisis situations and help them resolve a wide range of problems. The integrity of this process is what our local Civil Court is all about.
My career path has instilled in me the temperament and discipline to analyze the issues presented to judges every day. If elected to serve you as Civil Court Judge for Staten Island, my priorities will be simple: I will use my knowledge and experience to reach fair, impartial and just decisions while maintaining an efficient courtroom.
Jessica Scarcella-Spanton
New York State Senate, 23rd District

THE DAUGHTER OF TWO PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS, Jessica learned early the lessons of worker solidarity from her father, a UFT chapter leader, and uncle, a delegate with the Firefighters Union.
When Jessica’s brother was born with a chronic disability, her mom stayed home to care for him. Living on a single income, with mounting medical debt, taught Jess just how challenging it is for families to get by — lessons that have stayed with her to this day.
Tight finances encouraged Jessica to stay close to home and attend CUNY, where she earned her degree in Political Science. Her time there convinced her that CUNY and SUNY should be tuition-free for all New Yorkers.
When vaccines first became available, but appointments were scarce, Jess booked over 1,000 vaccination appointments for constituents on both sides of the bridge
Jessica has been focused on public safety and tackling gun violence by helping to secure funding for anti-gun initiatives and community groups across the district.
As a young mom, whose husband was on his second tour of duty in Afghanistan, Jessica learned firsthand how vital affordable, quality childcare is for working and single parents. And it’s why universal childcare is one of her top priorities.
WHEN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC HIT NEW YORK IN EARLY 2020, a short-sighted policy prevented expectant mothers from having a support person in the delivery room, and women across New York reached out to Jessica to change this. Jessica successfully fought for the creation of an Executive Order requiring hospitals to allow partners in the delivery room.
Working for the State Legislature, Jessica spearheaded the successful effort to pass legislation allowing for birth certificates for families who experienced the trauma of stillbirth.
Jessica helped pass legislation requiring insurers to cover IVF treatments, and as Senator she’ll fight to expand that coverage to LGBTQ+ families.

Vincent Argenziano
NY State Assembly, 63rd District
Vincent Argenziano has a long track record of government/public service and serving the people of the 63rd Assembly District. Working in the NYS Assembly for six years, Vincent rose to be the Chief of Staff for Assembly member Michael Cusick.
In 2019, Vincent was appointed Deputy Public Administrator of Richmond County, a position he currently holds.
His priorities include addressing the safety of our community, fighting for policies to help our working families, supporting the needs of our veterans, easing the burdens being placed on our small businesses, and bringing quality jobs to our West Shore Industrial District.
On top of his government service Vincent has worked for other candidates on the campaign trail including Mike Cusick for Assembly, Matt Titone for Surrogate Judge, and Mike McMahon for District Attorney.
Vincent graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the College of Staten Island and a Master of Public Administration from New York University.
A long time Staten Islander, Vincent currently lives with his fiancé, Evelyn, a Staten Island realtor, and community activist. He comes from a family of public and community service. Vincent’s father and brother are current members of service with the New York City Police Department and his mother is a public school teacher.
